How does Speed Call work?
Speed Call lets you dial 8 frequently called numbers by pressing 1 or 2 buttons on any telephone in your house.

How do I set up my Speed Call list?
- Pick up the receiver and listen for a dial tone.
- Press *74 (Rotary users dial 1174).
- Listen for a second dial tone.
- Dial a one-digit code (2-9) where you wish to store a remembered telephone number.
- Dial the complete telephone number to be assigned to that code. Include 1 + area
code for long distance calls. You can enter a maximum of 16 digits.
- Listen for two short beeps, which indicates the number has been assigned.
- Continue Steps 4-6 until all numbers are programmed.

How do I dial a Number using Speed Calling?
- Pick up the receiver and listen for dial tone.
- Dial the one digit code for the number you want to reach and press #
(Rotary users dial 12).

Dial the Speed Calling code for the number you want. If you have Touch-Tone,
press the # button after the code. The call will go through even faster.

To Place a Call Using the Speed Calling Feature
- Check the Speed Call list to determine the dialing code of the telephone number
to be reached.
- The dialing codes are 2 through 9 for Speed Call 8.
- Remove the receiver and listen for the dial tone.
- Dial the single digit dialing code.

Changes to Speed Call List
You can change or add the numbers yourself at no additional charge, with no service
order required. This operation is the same as that for entering new numbers:
- Remove the receiver and listen for dial tone.
- Press *74 (Rotary users dial 1174) and wait for dial tone.
- For each number to be changed, dial the one digit code (2 through 9)
associated with the telephone number to be changed.
- Dial the new telephone number to be entered.
- Receipt of two spurts of tone indicates the new Speed Call number has been
recorded and changed.
